Only a light covering, but boy is it Baltic here today. Although the sun has shone all day, it is still white out there. Even through the cold, I knew I needed fresh air and to stretch my legs, so I went for an hour's walk. I realise everyone is getting rather bored of this now, but isn't walking the best thing ever? And of course, if you combine that with a little shopping, well, that's just bliss. Christmas ribbons, no matter what width, .55p a metre. Mmmm. Would be sinful not to add some to the stash.
But this afternoon is all about roaring fires and making the house look like it's preparing for Christmas (any excuse, really). So, that means candles:
This time the glass is layered with cranberries, a tealight laid on top, then more berries dropped between the glass and the candle. And tied with some of the new ribbon. Feeling cosy, fire roaring, candle glowing - what could be more perfect? The arrival of this from a late post delivery - and that's it for this afternoon. I'm sure you'll understand why.
