One of the many, many good things about blogging is the people you meet. Learning a little of so many lives, enjoying hearing about their delights and disasters. And some of those people turn out to be truly special. After the successful market (yee ha!) there was a lot of stock to be replaced, including the packs of lavender sachets. Having used up all of last year's harvest I put out a call for help to the lovely Sue, the lavender lady who helped out immediately. Her package arrived today and as it was only posted yesterday - well done Royal Mail.
Now that package was expected, but there was a second; this one unexpected:
There have been some difficult days this summer, and lots of support from these blogging friends, and Maureen is one of those, and she had sent this package.
Lots and lots of fantastic flower seeds, plus a hand painted card, and a cup of tea to share.
Am off to Scotland for a few days (leaving bb at home to chop down trees etc) looking for paint, vintage teacups and sorting out a back garden before the weather turns.
Hmmm. Having seen tomorrow's forecast we may be a tad late already.
ps I make teacup candles to sell at the fairs and markets I do, which is why I'm always on the look out for lovely vintage teacups in charity shops. However, I feel a little strange profiting from those bought there, so I don't charge for the teacup when selling them, charging only for the eco soya wax candles I make. Do you think I'm right to do so, or am I being over sensitive?
