Once again, I've been asked to review products for CSN stores and this time I chose to review some baking products. It was easy to choose the green silicone pastry brush - I'd actually been looking for one - but choosing the rest of the products was more difficult. I'm not great with too much choice you see, but after many, many sessions I came up with the products above - plus an orange spatula spoon which has gone to live elsewhere.
The cherry coloured tongs are great and go very well in the kitchen (yes, I can be that shallow) and the pie dish is beautiful, but unused yet. The most exciting thing in the package though - has to be the cupcake cases. I love the blue spottiness trimmed at the top with a brown edge. Very Donna Hay and I do like just about everything she does. When visiting Australia a couple of years ago I was basically on a mission to find some of her bakeware etc that I could fit into cases to bring home. I did succeed.
Really, I suppose the products are the easy part to review, the hard part is to be unbiased about the store itself. Before they asked me to do these reviews I'd never heard of them, but now I realise they're just an online store like any other, and to be used in the same way - decide what you're looking for, see how much they're charging and make your mind up which store to go with. Because delivery etc is just the same as most other online stores - Amazon exepted of course, as they are great at delivering next day - and they're good at letting you know which stage the order is at.
End of review and back to usual wittering tomorrow, but I promise there will be no snow pictures. I've had more than enough just looking out of the windows.
