Sometimes it's very good to just stop everything, take a good look around and assess. Obviously I've had (too much?) time on my hands and I've taken advantage of it. There are so many good things to enjoy and often those are the things that get sidelined whilst too busy doing other stuff. Which is why it's good to pause.
One of the good aspects of enforced down time, has been the chance to take a good look around the garden, seeing what works and what doesn't. But also, what I really like and what I really don't like. There's an area of border that has pretty much defeated me all the time we've lived here, but now I can see a plan evolving that involves very little work for a big impact. Very exciting and I'm so looking forward to making a start on it.
The other area that has been given a lot of thought is the sewing room and what happens in there. I love sewing and I love being able to sell what I sew, but often it's too easy to get caught up in the latter, and not spend enough time on the designing etc. It was probably time for a re-launch anyway, but Hayley's lovely shop (see Chardeleigh's gift shop in sidebar to right) is relocating in August and that is a fantastic chance to start making some new things for that.
Busy, busy, busy! And it's very good to be able to sit and write at the computer again.

Welcome back .... you'll be running around like a woman possessed again in no time !! That reflection time sounds like a great idea but I think I'll have to run away from home to get it with my lot ;-)

Thanks Debbie - its good to get back into the world again! And yes, it usually takes enforced bed rest to give us the chance to think!

I think we're all the same Pam, unless we're force to take stock, we don't do it.
Looking forward to seeing the results of your enforced downtime in the garden and the sewing room!
Lovely to have you back with us, hope you're mending well! :)

The recovery is far too slow for me - though all the medics comment on how quick it is! But the thinking time has been invaluable and Im very keen to get going in both garden and sewing room.
Enjoy your weekend Vivienne,

Hi Pam,
Happy to have you back! It also seems, that you're feeling quite good, taking it slow (I know, it's always TOO slow when it comes to recovery) where needed but brains full of new things and ideas. Can't wait to see your new creations!
Happy weekend!
Yours,
Mia

Thanks Mia. It feels good to be catching up with everyone and seeing what theyre making too. I did quite a lot of walking yesterday and suffering a little this morning! But at least I can walk which is an improvement.
Happy weekend to you too.

How right you are - always busy! But just now Im having to have a rest (in bed!) every afternoon so that helps. At least it looks as though the Ark isnt needed after all this weekend. Thought that biblical rain wasnt going to stop!
